What's New in Making-Mosaics.com

Well I try to keep myself busy but it is difficult to get work done in summer. However I did add a few interesting things in the web site.

I have been receiving emails from people who are asking me if I can make a mosaic for them. Well I would love to but unfortunately I just do not have the time! You know … full time job plus young children!

Anyways I now feature on my web site a mosaic artist who can make anything you want, from a small mosaic backsplash for your kitchen to a large mural. Her work is unique and beautiful. You can see what she does here Mosaic Commissions

I also added a FAQ mosaic question page. This page will get larger as I receive more questions. You can access the page here Mosaic FAQs

In the Tools section I am now featuring mosaic wet saws from the TOOL KING. Mosaic Wet saws

To come in the next months I will add more new projects.

Mosaic News

Historic mosaic uncovered at York's Guildhall. A piece of York’s hidden heritage is now being uncovered at one of the city’s oldest building.

The rediscovery of an old Victorian mosaic in the city Council’s current Guildhall headquarters is now being cleaned and restored.

The mosaic which bears the city’s coat of arms was covered up about 20 years ago with carpet tilling and is believed to date back from about 1890s.

The work will take about 3 weeks and when finished, visitors to the building will be able to walk across the ancient art work.
