My first solo mosaic

I took a mosaic mirror class a few years ago, and loved my project until I grouted it with black grout. Some of the tempered glass was not glued down completely, so the grout seeped under them. I was really disappointed.

This is a glass plate from an old microwave, that I picked up at a thrift store. I used tiles cut from three dinner plates. I do think that when I grouted, that I removed too much grout. I also tried to tint the grout a pale yellow to bring out the yellow accents on the tiles, but it came out lighter than I had hoped.
